Accessibility statement

We want anyone to be able to shop at ivebeen3d: with a screen reader, with the keyboard only or with enlarged text. We sell braille plates and signs, so the shop has to work without sight.

The standard we follow

The W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

Status: partially conformant

We checked the site with automated tools, by hand and with the keyboard, and what we found is already fixed. People who use a screen reader every day have not tested it yet; until they do, we do not claim full conformance.

What we checked and how

  • axe-core 4.13, with the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rules at levels A and AA, on 51 pages and states: the home page, the shop and each product page, the ring configurator, custom pieces, the braille signs and plates with text typed in, the guides, the terms, the privacy policy, the CAD service and the order received page, in Spanish and English. Result: no failures.
  • What axe leaves for a manual check: the contrast of the labels placed over photos, measured pixel by pixel against the photo behind them, and the video on the CAD service page.
  • A walk with the Tab key through the home page, a product page, the ring configurator, the braille signs, custom pieces, the terms and the plate order: focus is visible at every step and never gets trapped.
  • That review found three things, now fixed: the 3D viewer barely marked its focus (it now shows the same gold outline as everything else), some labels over photos lost contrast when the photo was light, and the looping video on the CAD service page could not be paused.

What the site already does

  • Text with a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, and a gold outline that shows where the focus is.
  • Photos and 3D viewer with alternative text, and the measurements and materials written on each product page.
  • Forms with every field labeled and errors that screen readers announce.
  • If you ask your device for less motion, the 3D viewer stops spinning on its own and animations switch off.

What has limits

  • The 3D viewer of the ring and the earrings works best with a mouse or a finger. With the keyboard it turns with the arrow keys, and what it shows is also written on the product page.
  • The shop photos are renders of the model; the real measurements and materials are in the text.
  • The order forms use Cloudflare Turnstile against spam. If it does not let you send, write to us by email and we will take the order there.
  • This statement does not cover the study apps on the site (TRAZOS, the keyboard guide and CEO Protocol) or the private pages behind a password.
